"I want to continue my career in an ambitious club that aims to reach the Premier League in the future." These words were said to Sport24.az by Ghazafar Abbasov, the former head coach of MOIK.
The expert emphasized that he received offers after parting ways with the "military men", but did not accept them because the conditions did not satisfy him:
"Yes, there have been offers. Among them were clubs from both the first and second leagues. However, I rejected the offers because our views did not coincide during the negotiations. What are my conditions? The finances and conditions of the offers we received did not satisfy me. Therefore, I have not come to a common denominator with any club."
It should be noted that MOIK finished the 2024/2025 season of the First League in 6th place with 30 points.
