Former footballer Dieter Herzog, who was a World Champion with the German national team, has died at the age of 79.
Lent.az reports that the cause of death of the former footballer is unknown.
Herzog played as a midfielder. His career included the clubs "Bottrop", "Hamborn 07", "Fortuna" and "Bayer". He played five games for the national team and became world champion in 1974. He appeared twice in that tournament.
