According to him, the 28-year-old forward made good use of the chance given to him by the II Bundesliga representative: "Even his successful performance attracted the attention of Bundesliga clubs. I remember that the South Korean club "Seoul" intended to transfer the Azerbaijani player. Mahir performed better than expected in Germany. Now I can't say anything about leaving the team at the end of the season. Maybe the club wants to attract younger players to the squad. There may be many reasons for this".
B. Lippert emphasized that Mahir Emreli is a physically very strong football player: "I have known Emreli since he was young. Although he could not fully show himself in the first months in "Nuremberg", he was able to recover later. I think Mahir is one of the best football players Azerbaijan has ever produced".
It should be noted that last August, Mahir Emreli signed a 1+1 year contract with "Nuremberg". However, the club announced on May 6 that the contract would not be extended.
