Former England international striker and famous TV presenter Gary Lineker has declared Argentine striker Lionel Messi the best football player in history. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement to the "Goal" portal about this:
"Messi is the greatest player of all time. I think he is the best in history. Messi is at a higher level than Cruyff, Zidane, Ronaldo. He is truly amazing.
If there were no injuries, I think we would be talking about Brazilian Ronaldo in the same context too. But unfortunately, the Brazilian suffered from injuries. However, he did incredible things and brought joy to the fans during his time."
It should be noted that Messi is the record holder for the number of "Golden Balls". He has won this award eight times.
