Gareth Bale, the former Real winger, who now leads a group of American private investors, has confirmed his desire to buy the Welsh club Cardiff, which played in the English Championship last season.

"We are really interested in buying Cardiff. This is my hometown club, I grew up there, my uncle used to play for it. It would be a real dream for me to be part of the club ownership group.
This club is in my heart. I grew up in Cardiff and would like to be involved in the development of the club and bring it back to the Premier League, that's where it belongs. I know how amazing fans Cardiff and Wales have. It would be great to do something together," Bale said.
According to him, the consortium is currently trying to contact the club.
Cardiff and Plymouth have been relegated from the Championship following the results of last season. The teams occupied the last two places in the tournament table of the second strongest division of England.
