Former Tottenham player Gareth Bale commented on the London team's victory (1:0) over Manchester United in the Europa League final. Sport24.az reports that the veteran player made a statement to UEFA's official website:
"This is amazing for the club. And long overdue! I am very happy for the club and its fans who have been waiting for this for many years."
It should be noted that Tottenham won their first European trophy since 2008. The London team will compete in the Champions League next season.
