Osman Diomande, the central defender of the Ivory Coast national team, who currently plays for the Portuguese club Sporting, is included in Galatasaray's mid-season transfer plans.
Idman.Biz reports that, according to Afrika Foot, the Istanbul representative wants to add Diomande, who signed a contract with Sporting in 2023, to its squad.
Sporting's position on Diomande is tough. The Portuguese representative requires a minimum offer of 60 million euros (approximately 111 million AZN) to start negotiations for the 20-year-old defender, who has a contract until 2027. It is reported that the release clause in the player's contract is 80 million euros (approximately 148 million AZN).
Diomande started his career at the Ivory Coast club OS Abobo. He then moved to the academy of the Danish club Midtjylland.
The defender, who was promoted to the main team of Midtjylland in 2022, was transferred to Sporting after a loan spell at the Portuguese club Mafra.
Currently, his Transfermarkt value is shown as 45 million euros (approximately 84 million AZN). This season, Diomande has appeared in 8 matches for Sporting.
