Turkish football club "Galatasaray" is speeding up its transfer efforts ahead of the new season and targeting a star football player playing in the English Premier League.
İdman.Biz reports, citing the British press, that the Istanbul club is closely interested in Aston Villa's 24-year-old Belgian defensive midfielder Amadou Onana. Official contacts for the 1.95-meter-tall football player, who is perfectly suited to head coach Okan Buruk's game system, are planned to begin at the end of the season.
Amadou Onana's current market value is estimated at 45 million euros (90 million AZN). Manchester United is also in the race for the football player, who has a contract with Aston Villa until June 2029, not only Galatasaray. This increases the difficulty of the transfer in terms of finance and competition.
Onana, who has appeared in 31 official matches in the Premier League this season, has scored two goals and stayed on the field for a total of 2203 minutes. The Belgian national team member, who stands out with his contribution to defense, dominance in aerial balls and physical strength, is also capable of playing as a center-back.
