Turkish clubs "Galatasaray" and "Trabzonspor" have officially appealed to the Turkish Football Federation to change the time of the Super Cup semi-final match scheduled for January 5th.
Idman.Biz reports that both clubs stated in a letter addressed to the federation that it is difficult to hold the meeting on the current date. The clubs cited the tight game schedule, expected adverse weather conditions in the winter season, and the physical condition of the teams as the main reasons.
The appeal noted that under the current conditions, it is difficult to organize the match at the desired level in terms of both sports quality and security, and therefore it is advisable to postpone the match to a more suitable date.
The Turkish Football Federation is expected to make a final decision on the matter in the coming days. After the institution's decision, it will be formalized whether there will be changes in the Super Cup semi-final stage schedule.
