Gabriel leaves Brazilian national team due to injury

Arsenal defender Gabriel has been forced to leave the Brazilian national team camp due to an injury.

Report informs that the Brazilian Football Confederation has released an official statement about this.

The 28-year-old footballer felt sharp pains in his right knee after the English League Cup final match against Manchester City (0:2). Medical examinations and imaging tests revealed that the defender will not be able to participate in friendly matches against France and Croatia.

The CBF announced that no new player will be called up to the squad to replace him.
