"The factor that worries me after the game against France is that the game against Ukraine is 3 days later." Fuzuli Mammadov said this in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the game that our national team will play against Ukraine in the qualifying round of DÇ-2026:
"Previously, the break between matches was 4 days. During this period, the team could recover. 3 days is not enough, the players remain tired. The players spent a lot of energy in the game against France. Recovery is very important before the match with Ukraine. Ukraine needs a victory very much. I believe that our national team players will fight compactly and persistently, as in the match against France. Again, we must build our game from defense and be sharp in counter-attacks to score a goal. Mistakes are inevitable. I think it is possible to win a point. As I said, it will be very difficult. If we force the opponent to make mistakes, we will be able to score a goal."
It should be noted that the Ukraine-Azerbaijan match will be held today at 22:45 Baku time in Krakow, Poland.
