"Fuzuli's" departure from the Second League saddened all of us. We worked very hard as a team to stay in the league. Unfortunately, we couldn't manage it in the end." Elgun Abbasli said this in his statement to Sport24.az.
The football player of "Fuzuli", whose departure from the Second League has been confirmed, commented on the events as follows:
"We went to almost every game to get points, to win. We also had matches where we won and got points. But that wasn't enough. I don't want to talk much about the reasons for the failure. It wouldn't be right to say "there are no problems". We are football players, our job is on the field, and the remaining issues are already the responsibility of the club management.
Abbasli's attitude to the cessation of "Fuzuli's" activity was as follows:
"I can't say anything about the direction in which the team will build its future activities. This is a matter within the competence of the club management, and it would not be right for me to talk about it. I can say that the season has just ended, the team has been released for vacation, and there have been no conversations. Presumably, after a while, the management will announce its position on the issue."
It should be noted that "Fuzuli" is in the last place of the tournament table with 15 points after 26 rounds. It has been confirmed that the team will leave the Second League.
