Aston Villa is looking for a replacement for goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who will leave the team in the summer. Sport24.az reports that the Birmingham team is interested in Lille's Lucas Chevalier.
The club's sporting director has discussed the financial aspects of the transfer with the other party. It is reported that Chevalier has a positive attitude towards this offer. He has a contract with the team until the summer of 2027. Lille is expected to demand 40 million euros for the transfer.
It should be noted that the 23-year-old goalkeeper has appeared in 48 games in the 2024/2025 season. He kept a clean sheet in 13 of these matches.
