In December 2019, the football player allegedly raped an 18-year-old woman after leaving a nightclub.
The victim told police that, although under the influence of alcohol, she repeatedly told the Nancy player that she did not consent to sexual intercourse with him. The accused does not deny sexual intercourse, but insists that it was consensual.
Currently, the management of the "Grasse" club, where Baptiste plays, has announced that they will not exclude the player from the squad for the time being.
