The French Football League (LFP) has issued a statement on its official website regarding the beating of Nice players by fans.
Idman.Biz reports that the LFP condemned this act of violence and announced that it would join the civil lawsuit filed by the players.
"The LFP strongly condemns the acts of violence committed against the players and staff of Nice Football Club. These completely unacceptable attacks are detrimental to the honor of everyone involved in the game and the values of football.
The LFP announces that it will join the civil claims brought by the players in order to fully support them and help reveal the whole truth about these serious events.
The LFP expresses its full support to the injured Nice players and reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety of everyone involved in football," the LFP statement said.
