The President of the French Football Federation (FFF), Philippe Diallo, has commented on the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as the national team coach.
Idman.Biz reports that Zidane remains the main candidate for the position of head coach of the French national team.
"A lot can happen and it may not be as people expect. I have already said that I have great admiration and respect for Zidane, both for what he has done for French football and for the work he has done as coach of Real Madrid, winning trophies. But everything has its time. We are currently preparing for the World Cup," said Diallo.
The 53-year-old coach's last job was at Real Madrid from 2016 to 2018 and from 2019 to 2021.
