The news that Roma fans have been waiting for a long time is about to become a reality.
Idman.Biz reports that, according to information spread by Italian insider Nicolo Schira, Francesco Totti, considered a symbol of the club, may return to his home team as a technical director.
Negotiations are ongoing between 49-year-old Totti and the Friedkin family, who own the club. The role offered to him will be similar to the function that Paolo Maldini had in Milan with Ricky Massara. That is, Totti will be the main connecting figure between the club's management and the team and the head coach, as well as an important decision-maker in sports matters.
It should be noted that Totti, nicknamed "The Emperor", dedicated his entire career (1992-2017) to Roma and scored 307 goals in 786 games. He previously worked as a director at the club in 2017-2019.
