Former Russian national team and CSKA midfielder Evgeni Aldonin has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. Sport24.az reports that the TASS agency released this information.
According to the source, the veteran footballer underwent surgery in Germany.
It should be noted that 45-year-old Aldonin played for CSKA from 2004 to 2013. As part of the Moscow club, he became a two-time Russian champion, as well as won the Russian Cup five times and the UEFA Cup in 2005. Aldonin also defended the honor of the clubs "Rotor Volgograd", "Mordovia Saransk", "Volga Nizhny Novgorod" and "Zorki Krasnogorsk."
