A new wave of operations began at night as part of the drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against famous figures. Among those detained was former referee Elif Karaarslan, who was banned for life by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for the release of an intimate video.
İdman.Biz reports, citing the Turkish press, that special police units raided famous entertainment venues in Istanbul's Bebek, Kuruçeşme and Etiler districts.
A 1.5-hour search was carried out at the "Lucca" venue in Bebek with the participation of drug dogs. Although no drugs were found at the venue, the owner of the establishment, Cem Mirap, was detained.
During the raids in Etiler, it was observed that some famous football players quickly left the venue. As part of the operation, social media phenomena Samet Liçina, Özlem Parlu, Mika Slovana and former referee Elif Karaarslan were detained.

Let us remind you that it was alleged that intimate images of 24-year-old Elif Karaarslan with 61-year-old referee observer Orhan Erdemir were released. After this incident, the TFF banned both people from football for life. Following the scandal, the young referee, whose number of followers on social media increased rapidly, had become a phenomenon with more than 500,000 followers.
