A familiar face to Azerbaijani fans is returning to football. Sport24.az reports that former "Neftchi" and "Kapaz" forward Dario Frederico is returning to the "Marilia" club in Brazil, where he played before.
The management of the club, which plays in Serie D, has confirmed that the 34-year-old forward will join the team on December 1 and begin the preparation process.
Dario has not participated in an official match for two years due to an Achilles tendon injury. According to the agreement, the Brazilian footballer will initially participate in training with the team. If he fully recovers and fits into the plans of head coach Ricardo Costa, an official contract will be signed with him.
Dario last appeared in December 2023 as part of the Indian representative "Rajasthan United".
During his career, the experienced player, who played in countries such as Portugal, Azerbaijan, South Korea, Latvia, Vietnam, Tanzania and India, remained in the memory of Azerbaijani fans with his performance at "Kapaz".
