Former England international striker Andy Carroll could face up to 5 years in prison for stalking a woman. This was reported by the SHOT Telegram channel, Sport24.az reports.
Carroll was previously arrested at London airport on suspicion of attempted rape and later released on bail until February 2026. However, the footballer continued to contact the victim, violating the terms of his bail, which prohibited him from approaching her.
A new court hearing in his case is scheduled for December 30, where the issue of violation of the pre-trial detention measure will be considered. The 36-year-old footballer has played for Liverpool, Newcastle United and the England national team. This year he moved from the French club Bordeaux to the English club Dagenham & Redbridge.
