Former "Kapaz" head coach: "Should there necessarily be a foreign coach when a sponsor comes?"

"Kapaz" did not have a sponsor or conditions, local coaches worked. Now it has a base, a training ground, and a legionnaire head coach must come to work?" These words were said by Yashar Vahabzade in his statement to Sport24.az.

The experienced specialist commented on the invitation of Mircea Rednic to the post of head coach of the Ganja club:

"For what successes are they bringing Mircea Rednic? What did he do with a large budget at "Khazar Lankaran", what successes did he achieve? I am in favor of Azar Bagirov staying. He is doing everything he can to keep the team in the Premier League. Should there necessarily be a foreign coach when a sponsor comes? What happened to our own coaches? They worked hard and studied the PRO category. They prove with their work that they deserve to work in the Premier League. I am strongly against Rednic coming. Let the conditions improve, and if there is no result, they will change the coach. We need to trust our local coaches."

It should be noted that there are reports in the press that "Kapaz" has reached a preliminary agreement with the Romanian specialist and that the parties may sign a 3-year contract. The 63-year-old Romanian previously coached "Khazar Lankaran".
