Former head coach of "Kapaz" Tarlan Ahmadov did not want to work in the First League.
Idman.Biz, referring to sportinfo.az, reports that "Sabail," which terminated the contract with Elvin Mammadov by mutual agreement, sent him an offer.
The specialist, who does not see himself anywhere other than the Premier League, refused to take over the helm of the "sailors." Even the promise of the Bayil representative did not affect the decision of T. Ahmadov, who has been unemployed since the summer of 2023.
The management of "Sabail" promised to continue working with him if he brought the team to the elite league, but the coach remained firm in his opinion. It was only after this that the lower league representative turned to Adil Shukurov, a former football player of the Azerbaijani national team. The coach, who was removed from the helm of "Kapaz" in October of this year, signed a contract that will remain in force until the summer of next year.
The promise given to T. Ahmadov is valid for Shukurov - if he brings the "sailors" to the Premier League, he will remain in office for at least another year.
