Ümit Karan, former footballer of the Turkish club "Galatasaray", has been sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison.
"Report" reports that this was reported by the country's "Sabah" publication.
The 48-year-old former striker is accused of "simple sexual assault at the level of harassment".
He was sent to prison after the trial.
It should be noted that Ümit Karan played for the Istanbul representative from 2001 to 2009.
