A former player of the Israeli Premier League has been detained on suspicion of assaulting his wife.
Lent.az reports, citing local media, that although the court released him on certain conditions, it forbade him from approaching the apartment where the woman lives.
It is noted that back in 2002, when he was an active football player, he was also detained on a similar charge. During his career, the athlete played for a number of clubs, including Maccabi (Haifa), Beitar (Jerusalem) and Hapoel (Beer Sheva). He also won the Israeli champion title and participated in the national cup final.
