The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an international wanted notice - "red notice" - has been issued for former footballer Batuhan Karadeniz. According to Sport24.az, the prosecutor's office stated that all of Karadeniz's property has been seized on suspicion of promoting illegal betting and gambling activities.
Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes Bureau of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it is alleged that Batuhan Karadeniz, who was determined to be abroad, made posts promoting illegal betting and gambling on social media platforms and advertised illegal betting sites. For this reason, a "red notice" was issued for him for violating Law No. 7258 and articles on the legalization of proceeds from crime (money laundering).
According to the prosecutor's decision, a seizure was placed on Karadeniz's movable and immovable property, company and partnership shares, bank and investment accounts, cryptocurrency and stock market assets.
The confiscation decision was approved by the Criminal Court of Peace.
It should be noted that Batuhan Karadeniz wore the jersey of the national team as well as Turkey's leading clubs.
