Former president of Polish club "Stal" Tomasz Poreba criticized the sale of goalkeeper Mateusz Kochalski to "Qarabag". Sport24.az reports that the former Member of Parliament stated this in an interview with the "Onet.pl" publication.
He said that some leading football players left the club, and the team weakened because of this:
"Mateusz Kochalski left the team in the summer. I can't understand this decision. When I was at the club, we built the team in such a way that there were good players in the most important positions. We had a strong goalkeeper, defender and striker. We sold Kochalski, who saved us in the previous season. He had one year left before the end of his contract. Why didn't they keep him in the squad?"
It should be noted that the "Stal" club is in 16th place in the Polish championship with 30 points. With one round left, it was confirmed that the team will be relegated to the lower league. Mateusz Kochalski moved to "Qarabag" in the summer of 2024. Tomasz Poreba had to say goodbye to the club in January of that year.
