Former Chelsea midfielder Lamisha Musonda has announced that he is about to die at the age of 33.
Idman.Biz reports that Musonda, who is living the last days of his 33-year life, asked people who know him through social networks not to spare their prayers.
"I understand that I only have a few days left and at the same time I know how many people are by my side. I will always cherish these memories. Life is difficult, but there is still a lot of beauty around you.
Life is full of ups and downs and no one can truly understand the pain you are facing. The last two years have been particularly difficult and debilitating for me. I am very sad to inform you that I am fighting for my health - that's why I have been away from social media for a long time.
I had to accept the bitter truth: my condition is critical and now I am fighting for my life. Your support and prayers would be a real comfort to me during this time. I am fighting this disease with my family and I will not give up until my last breath.
I was lucky to have a great youth and I still had a lot to do. I would like to thank many people in person. It saddens me that I will not have such an opportunity," wrote the former midfielder of Belgium U-21 and Mechelen teams, who spent several years of his life at the Chelsea academy.
