Former defender of English football teams "Chelsea" and "West Bromwich", Neil Clement, has been detained in Spain on suspicion of involvement in the illegal trafficking of drugs.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the "Daily Mail" that the 47-year-old former football player was caught in the "Riviera del Sol" shopping center located between the cities of Marbella and Fuengirola. During the operation, drugs were found on him and in his house, as well as a large amount of cash.
According to the police, more than one kilogram of illegal substances (1170 grams of marijuana and 865 grams of hashish) were confiscated from Clement's hideout. The operation was carried out after complaints from local residents about suspicious activity. The detainee has already appeared in court and has been released on bail during the investigation.
It should be noted that Neil Clement mainly shone in "West Bromwich" (2000-2010) during his professional career and scored 24 goals in 295 matches as part of this team. He also defended the honor of "Chelsea".
