Spanish specialist Robert Moreno has been relieved of his duties as head coach of Russian football club "Sochi" after a year and a half in the job.
Lent.az reports that Moreno was appointed head coach of "Sochi" in December 2023.
The Spanish specialist failed to save the club from relegation from the Premier League, and the team will spend the 2024/25 season in the First League, the country's second strongest division.
"Sochi" finished the tournament in fifth place and qualified for the play-offs for the right to return to the RPL thanks to the deprivation of the license of "Chornomorets", which took third place.
It should be noted that before being appointed to "Sochi", Moreno worked as an assistant coach in "Roma", "Barcelona", "Celta" and the Spanish national team. He has also been the head coach of "Granada" and "Monaco".
