Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has appeared in court in London.
Report reports with reference to Reuters that the 32-year-old footballer, accused of 5 counts of rape, has been released on bail until the next hearing on September 2.
Partey was not asked to comment on any of the charges. The Ghanaian player is accused of five rapes involving two women, as well as sexual assault against another woman. All crimes occurred between April 2021 and June 2022.
It should be noted that T. Partey was transferred from the Spanish club "Atletico" to "Arsenal" in 2020 for 50 million euros. The midfielder has appeared in 167 matches for the team. His contract, which expired this summer, was not extended.
