According to "Le Parisien", former president of the French football club "Ajaccio," Alain Orsoni, was killed during his mother's funeral.

71-year-old Orsoni was shot while attending his mother's funeral. The former functionary and politician was killed with a firearm from a distance. Orsoni died at the scene.
Ajaccio prosecutor Nicolas Sept opened a preliminary investigation, classifying the case as "murder within an organized group." The investigation is being conducted jointly by the police and gendarmerie.
Orsoni served as the president of "Ajaccio" from 2008 to 2015 and again in the 2022/2023 season. He has ties to criminal circles. In 2008, police thwarted an assassination attempt on his life shortly after he took over the club.
