A football festival for 5-8 year old female footballers was held at "ASCO Arena" within the framework of the "Playmakers" project with the support of UEFA and the organization of AFFA.
Idman.biz reports that 80 girls and their coach-teachers from 25 "Playmakers" centers operating in Azerbaijan participated in the festival.
Football games and relays organized during the event gave girls the opportunity to show their skills and learn to love football. They both learned and had fun on the field.
The "Playmakers" festival created an important environment for children not only on the football field, but also for building self-confidence, social skills and friendships. The fact that participants from different centers played together reflected the inclusive and unifying spirit of the program. At the end of the event, special certificates were presented to all participants by Farrukh Ismayilov, the head of the Mass Football Department of AFFA, a veteran football player.
It should be noted that the "Playmakers" project is a unique educational and sports program developed in cooperation with UEFA and "Disney", designed for girls aged 5-8. The main goal of the project is to create interest in football among children, increase their self-confidence, support team spirit and physical development. Trainings are based on fun stories and games, which increases children's interest in football and makes it easier for them to get involved in this sport from an early age. The project has been implemented across the country since 2022 with the organization of AFFA.
Currently, the program covers various regions of the country and is considered one of the strategic platforms for the development of women's football.
