On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the glorious Victory in the Patriotic War, SOCAR held an event called "Football Day" for the children of employees who became martyrs and veterans for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. According to Sport24.az, the children of martyrs and veterans first visited the "Palms Sports" Football Center at the event organized by SOCAR in partnership with "Neftchi" and Turkish "Galatasaray" clubs. Here, the children were given detailed information about "Neftchi" and a video about the history of the club was shown.
The children met with the team's head coach Samir Abbasov and football players and took memorable photos with them. The children played various fun games with the football players in the recreation room.
Children watching the test match between "Neftchi"'s A and B teams were presented with commemorative gifts on behalf of the club.
In the second half of the day, the children of martyrs and veterans participated in an event organized at the SOCAR Head Office.
Asad Mammadov, head of SOCAR's Social Responsibility Department, spoke about the attention and care shown to the children of martyrs and veterans as one of the priority directions of state policy in Azerbaijan, and the work done by SOCAR in accordance with this policy.
Then the children watched a special video prepared based on the appeals of "Galatasaray" football players to the children of martyrs and veterans. They were presented with the uniforms of the Istanbul club.
