As part of the betting investigation in Turkish football, a detention order has been issued for a total of 29 suspects, 14 of whom are football players. Among those detained is Erden Timur, one of the former executives of the "Galatasaray" club.
İdman.Biz reports that as a result of the operation, it was determined that one suspect for whom a detention order was issued was in prison for another crime, and work is underway to arrest four people.

Six suspects are accused of betting to influence the outcome of the "Kasımpaşa" - "Samsunspor" match held on October 26, 2024.

Among those detained are Fatih Kulaksız, vice president of the "Eyüpspor" club, football players Bahattin Berke Demircan, Doğukan Çınar, Ergün Nazlı, Eyüp Can Temiz, Furkan Demir, Gökhan Payal, Hamit Bayraktar, Hüseyin Aybars Tüfekci, İbrahim Yılmaz, İlke Tankul, İsmail Karakaş, Mert Aktaş and Tufan Kelleci, Administrative Director of Foreign Relations and National Teams of the Turkish Football Federation Buğra Cem İmamoğulları, Figen Özkaya, Emrah Günaydı, Burak Söyleyen, Ecem Alkaş, Esat Bilayak, Mirza Şerifoğlu, Hakan Çakır, Serhat Ölmez, Umut Esel and Burcu Kurt. It was reported that Enes Barta is in prison.
The official statement issued by the Prosecutor's Office on the matter reads as follows:
"Within the framework of the investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and known to the public as the "Football Betting Investigation", action was taken based on the evidence obtained as a result of the information obtained from betting sites, open source investigations, decisions of the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee, analysis of telephone communications and examination of digital materials seized during the previous two operations."
