The return of Jose Mourinho, the head coach of the Portuguese football team Benfica, to work in Madrid is on the agenda. Currently, the candidacy of the Portuguese specialist is being seriously discussed at Real Madrid.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the publication "Record" that discussions around club president Florentino Perez about Mourinho's possible return have intensified.
A meeting between the management and the current head coach Alvaro Arbeloa is planned for next week. It is expected that after this meeting, Arbeloa's fate will be decided and official negotiations with Mourinho will begin. Arbeloa's departure will not be a surprise for club employees.
Currently, only a miracle can save Arbeloa from resignation.
It should be noted that Jose Mourinho previously coached Real Madrid in 2010–2013. During his leadership, the Madrid team won the Spanish Championship, the national cup and the Super Cup.
