Real Madrid president Florentino Perez intends to leave his post next year, despite the 78-year-old specialist's term of office running until 2028.

According to reports, Perez wants to see an orderly transition of power, regardless of whether Real Madrid supports a referendum.
The Spanish businessman served as president of the Real club from 2000 to 2006. He returned to this position in 2009. Under Perez's leadership, the Royal Club won 37 trophies, including seven Champions Leagues.
