Barcelona coach Hans-Dieter Flick has commented on the absence of striker Robert Lewandowski from the team ahead of the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
Idman.Biz reports that Lewandowski was injured in the game against Villarreal (4:1).
"We have to come to terms with his absence. Unfortunately, he collided with an opponent in the game against Villarreal. The absence of several players - Gavi, Christensen, De Jong - is a very important factor, but the team copes well with it. These are opportunities for others to demonstrate their abilities," - Marca quotes Flick.
Atletico Madrid won the first leg of the semi-final with a convincing score of 4:0.
Barcelona are the current Copa del Rey champions. In last season's final, the team defeated Real Madrid 3:2 in extra time.
