"Barcelona" head coach Hans-Dieter Flick has decided to limit the use of young reserve team players in the main squad's matches.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to Sport.es.
According to the publication, the German coach wants to give "Barcelona B" coach Juliano Belletti more time to work with the reserve team squad by calling up players to the Catalan club's main squad less often. In this way, Flick hopes to improve the B team's results and help them get promoted from Spain's fourth strongest division.
Hans-Dieter Flick previously often included young reserve team players in "Barcelona"'s main squad, but did not always give them playing time. For example, "Barcelona B"'s 17-year-old striker Toni Fernandes participated in 12 matches for the Catalan club, but only played once, for a total of 45 minutes.
