Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick has decided to cancel the team's training session scheduled for Friday.
According to Idman.Biz, citing the Spanish publication Sport, the German coach took this step due to the high physical demands on the players. Instead of a full training session, the players had a light workout at the team hotel.
Barcelona's full training session will take place on Saturday. The previous day, the Catalan club defeated Athletic Bilbao 5:0 to qualify for the final of the Spanish Super Cup.
The tournament final match between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be held on January 11.
