Barcelona have drawn up a shortlist of five defenders and Hansi Flick prefers Nico Schlotterbeck.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, Barcelona are currently considering five central defender options to replace Inigo Martinez in 2026.
Hansi Flick's most sought-after player is Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck. He believes that the German footballer could be the ideal partner for Pau Cubarsi.
However, Schlotterbeck's salary demands may make it difficult for Barcelona to sign him in the near future.
In addition to the Dortmund player, Barcelona are also interested in Crystal Palace defender Mark Guehi, who will be a free agent next year.
Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano is also liked by the Barcelona management. Goncalo Inacio and 17-year-old Nantes centre-back Tilel Tati are also among the candidates for the Barcelona centre-back position.
