A decision has been made regarding the future of Nicolo Zaniolo, who was transferred by "Galatasaray" from "Roma" in February 2023, but has been loaned out for two seasons because he did not produce the expected results.
Lent.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the yellow-reds loaned Zaniolo to "Aston Villa" in the 2023-2024 season, and sent him to "Atalanta" at the beginning of this season. However, his career in the Italian club was short-lived and he made a temporary move to "Fiorentina" in the winter transfer window.
Although Nicolo Zaniolo played 13 games for "Fiorentina", he was unable to show any productivity, and in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League semi-final against "Real Betis", he entered the field in the last 15 minutes, but created disappointment without even touching the ball during this time.
In Serie A, he received a red card while on the substitutes' bench in the "Roma" match last week. With 3 games remaining until the end of the league, Zaniolo received a 2-game ban and will not be able to play in the matches against "Venezia" and "Bologna".
Zaniolo is also not expected to play in the "Udinese" match to be held in the last round, and his fate has already been determined.
The news emphasizes that the conditions required for the activation of the 15.5 million euro purchase option have not been met, saying: "The 1999-born football player, who could not take advantage of his double chance at Atalanta and Fiorentina, will return to Turkey hoping for another chance from Italy".
