Sport24.az reports, citing the official website of the Professional Football League, that he became the top scorer among legionnaires or those who debuted in the championship as a legionnaire and later acquired Azerbaijani citizenship in the history of the tournament held since 1992.
The Croatian-born player achieved this by scoring his 72nd goal. He distinguished himself in the home match against "Sumgayit" (2:1) of the XXVII round of the Misli Premier League.
Ozobic, who scored his 72nd goal in his 225th match, surpassed the record of Georgian Badri Kvaratskheliya, who wore the uniform of the Azerbaijani national team. The forward, who played for "Kapaz" and "Shamkir", scored 71 goals in 132 matches.
Filip has played for 4 clubs in the Premier League. The football player, who celebrated 6 goals in 26 games in his current team, previously played for "Gabala" (16 goals in 46 games), "Karabakh" (35 goals in 95 games) and "Neftchi" (15 goals in 58 games).
It should be noted that the midfielder, who debuted in the Premier League in the 2016/2017 season, shared the title of top scorer of that championship with 11 goals scored in "Gabala".
