Manchester City midfielder Filip Foden will consult with lawyers regarding the spread of false information about his family.
Idman.Biz reports that earlier, information was spread on social media about the death of Foden's six-year-old son, Ronnie, and the diagnosis of cancer in his four-year-old daughter, True.
Fake quotes attributed to the Manchester City midfielder regarding the alleged tragedy, and AI-generated images of Foden and his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke crying, have also been circulated.
According to the Daily Mail, Foden's legal team is currently working to remove the false information from the platforms.
"We are aware of the pages and accounts spreading these stories. They are completely false and disturbing. I don't understand how people can make up such things about anyone, especially children. It's disgusting.
Thank God we are all well and thank you for your concern. We are doing everything we can to stop this. Please report any post or page spreading false information," Foden's girlfriend wrote on social media.
