Marseille has removed two footballers from the squad after a 0:1 defeat to Rennes in the first round of Ligue 1.
Idman.biz reports that Frenchman Adrian Rabiot and Englishman Jonathan Rou have been punished by the club for their behavior in the dressing room after the game.
According to reports, a verbal dispute arose between the players after the defeat, and when the confrontation turned into a physical clash, other Marseille players and technical staff intervened and stopped them from fighting.
Both players missed the next training session - they are currently continuing to serve their sentences.
Marseille management has offered the players to make a financial donation to the club fund to atone for their guilt.
