FIFA has commented on the presentation of the Peace Prize to Donald Trump.

According to The Guardian, citing a source at FIFA, some middle and senior officials in the organization felt uneasy when Trump was presented with the Peace Prize because the details of the winner's selection were not disclosed. Over time, this feeling has given way to "deep shame."
FIFA President Gianni Infantino is said to handle political issues independently, as others fear it could damage their reputation. "I don't get involved in politics regarding this World Cup. My job is to focus on football on the pitch, nothing else," the source said.
He also noted that the period when the World Cup matches will be held in the US will be "very sensitive and difficult."
