The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) is planning to change the penalty execution rule.
Idman.biz reports with reference to "Bild" that according to the new rule, if the ball returns after the goalkeeper's intervention during a penalty kick, the players will not be able to touch it again.
The current proposal does not specify a special rule for the case of the ball hitting the goal post.
In order for the rule to enter into force, it must first be approved by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) and then undergo practical tests.
