The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Council is introducing a rule requiring every women's team playing under FIFA's auspices to have at least two women on its coaching staff.
İdman.Biz reports that one of them must hold the position of assistant or head coach. Journalist Ben Jacobs reported this on his X social media page.
According to the source, these requirements will take effect during the U-17 and U-20 Women's World Cups, as well as the 2026 Champions Cup.
It is also reported that FIFA considers the rate at which new female specialists are emerging in football to be unsatisfactory.
