FIFA is preparing to allocate a record amount of $355 million to world clubs within the framework of the expanded "Club Benefits Programme" (CBP) related to the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by the organization.
The initiative represents an increase of approximately 70% compared to the $209 million paid after the tournament held in Qatar in 2022.
For the first time, clubs that release their players to the national teams for the World Cup qualifying stage (not just the final) will receive compensation.
