The "FIFA Series" tournament will be held again in Azerbaijan. Sport24.az reports that FIFA President Gianni Infantino shared this information on his personal social media account.
"I am pleased to confirm the first large-scale organization of the "FIFA Series" tournament within the international match window in March and April 2026. Building on the success of the pilot tournament held in March 2024, this project provides a unique platform for national teams from different continents to compete and connect outside traditional confederation boundaries," he said.
The head of the organization also announced the names of other countries where the tournament will be held:
"The "FIFA Series" tournament among men will be held in Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Puerto Rico, Rwanda, and Uzbekistan. The women's "FIFA Series" will make its debut with matches in Brazil, Ivory Coast, and Thailand. In addition, other FIFA member associations have also announced their intentions to host."
It should be noted that Azerbaijan was one of the countries hosting the "FIFA Series" tournament in 2024.
